Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in identifying and capturing new business opportunities that drive growth and possibly innovation.
  • Craft and execute dynamic sales strategies for engaging prospective clients, utilizing market research and lead generation techniques such as networking but also cold calling. In parallel building and nurturing long-term, meaningful relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across organizations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to forge valuable connections with potential clients and partners.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations, showcasing our companys unique capabilities and solutions. Partner for these sales presentations with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, marketing) to create bespoke proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate and secure new deals, ensuring they align perfectly with both client needs and our company’s goals.
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of the competitive landscape, market trends, and shifting client needs to inform effective strategies.
  • Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on market research and client feedback.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
  • Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and industry best practices.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building abilities, both with prospects as internal teams.
  • A mindset with a heart for assessing market trends and uncovering customer needs.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales forecasting platforms to manage opportunities efficiently.
  • Results-driven with a proven ability to exceed sales targets.
